The directions from Talley Student Center are:
- Exiting Talley's Drop Off Area, turn left onto Kates Ave.
- Turn right onto Morrill at the stoplight by Carmichael Gym
- Follow Morrill across Western where it turns into Avent Ferry
- Take a left at the first stop light onto Centennial Parkway
- Follow Centennial Parkway until it ends and take a right onto Lake Wheeler Road
- Follow Lake Wheeler Road across the belt line, across Tryon Road, past Simpkins Rd.
- Eventually make a right off of Lake Wheeler into the Lake Wheeler Recreational Facility.
- Follow the Road until it ends and park in the upper parking lot
(Both the lake and the docks can be seen from the parking lot.)
