Fundraising

Fundraising is one of the most important parts of crew. Everyone knows that everything in rowing is expensive, and everyone in crew is a college student. This doesn't make for the best possible combination, so some extra work is required to make sure everything goes smoothly. We are putting together many fundraising options to help students cover dues, spring break, and regatta costs. We are hoping that by the end of our fundraising efforts, these events will cost us, personally, little or nothing.

In the past, we have worked concerts in Charlotte, and parking at UNC's basketball games. The parking events typically take an evening and can help to offset costs tremendously. The team also holds car washes every so often that sometimes turn out to be more financially helpful than we originally hoped. Finally, the team also seeks corporate sponsors and part of that sponsorship helps the rower that sought out and secured the sponsor.

We are generally open to any fundraising ideas. In the past we have sold oars with NC State Crew's colors to local bars and restaurants to include in their decor.
